How to get to Cariño Porteño

…if you are arriving from Valparaiso Terminal you have multiple options

By Public Taxi Car or Colectivo

You can catch a colectivo (a public taxi) which says “Placeres – Huito” in Yungay street (this is a street parallel to Pedro Montt main Avenue). This public transport will leave you at Placeres avenue, just in front of the monument called the Monolito. This colectivo departs from Plaza Victoria and its available throughout the night.

By Bus or Micro – Option 1

In the same Yungay street, you can take the Bus number 510; this is an orange bus which will leave you at Avenida Placeres with San Luis Street. Here is located Santa María University. If you choose this option, you will walk few more blocks.

By Bus or Micro – Option 2
If you walk from the bus terminal to Pedro Montt Avenue (and you cross the street in order to get the Congress side) you can take the Bus number 501. This will leave you at the Monument just like the Colectivo.

By Bus or Micro – Option 3 (for those in good shape!)
From Pedro Montt Avenue you can take any bus which says “to Viña del Mar”. It will leave you at España Avenue, so you will have to stop the bus at “Caleta Portales”, just in front of the footbridge and the train station “Portales”. From here, you can go up stairs (a very long set of stairs) which will leave you at Placeres Avenue. From there you have to walk up to Rosa Riquelme street, Cariño Porteño street.

 …if you are coming from Viña del Mar
 

By Bus or Micro
From Arlegui street (near to Viña del Mar square) you can take any bus which goes to Valparaiso by España Avenue. You will have to stop the bus at “Caleta Portales”, just in front of the footbridge and the train station “Portales”. From there you have to cross the footbridge and go up stairs (a very long set of stairs) which will leave you at Placeres Avenue. From there you have to walk up to Rosa Riquelme street, Cariño Porteño street.

 …If you are Driving
Just follow the Map. You have two accesses to Rosa Riquelme. You can take Placeres Avenue from España Avenue going up through San Luis Street (indicated in purple way on the map). Or you can drive through Avenida España until you reach Caleta Portales, and reach Placeres Avenue through Pelle Street (indicated in red way on the Map)
